Marketing Role

We're seeking an ambitious and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts in Australia and New Zealand.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing end-to-end campaigns across multiple channels, with a deep understanding of the local sports landscape.

This role offers the opportunity to build a brand from scratch, craft and execute a full-funnel marketing strategy, and leverage local expertise to inform marketing plans.

The successful candidate will be a creative leader, able to oversee the production of on-brand content for use across various channels, and a team captain, leading a small but high-performing marketing team.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the integrated marketing calendar, aligning with retail events, sports seasons, and product launches.
  • Craft and execute a full-funnel marketing strategy to launch and grow Sports Direct in ANZ.
  • Leverage your deep knowledge of the ANZ sports ecosystem to inform marketing plans, local activations, sponsorships, and community partnerships.
  • Utilise AI tools, performance data, and digital insights to optimize campaigns, automate workflows, and improve ROI.
  • Activate local area marketing initiatives that connect stores with their communities, from grassroots events to ambassador programs.
  • Oversee the production of on-brand content for use across various channels.
  • Lead the go-to-market and grand opening strategies for each new store.

What You'll Need

  • 8–10+ years of experience in brand, retail, or digital marketing, ideally in sports, lifestyle, or omnichannel retail.
  • A deep understanding of the Australia & New Zealand sports ecosystem, including key sports, leagues, events, and audiences.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Strong digital marketing skills, with exposure to AI tools, automation, and performance analytics.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong bias for action and delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
