The UGL Utilities team designs, constructs and maintains critical infrastructure across the water and power sectors.

We design and construct various types of assets, including power generation facilities, transmission lines, substations, electrical distribution networks, water treatment plants and pipelines.

The Opportunity

A highly skilled Project Controls Engineer is required to join our team in Perth.

  • Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment between the schedule, project scope and key milestones.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, prepare cost forecasts, track expenditures and identify cost variances.
  • Implement Earned Value Management techniques to track project performance and provide regular updates on project progress and performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies, as well as manage and document changes in scope, budget and schedule.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely project reports, including progress, risks and financials.
  • Ensure effective communication between project teams, stakeholders and management.
About You

To be successful, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and Earned Value Management.
  • A proven track record in large-scale construction, infrastructure or utilities projects.
  • Strong data analysis, risk assessment and cost control skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
