Job Title

Civil Project Engineer is a challenging role that requires experience in infrastructure, utilities, and construction projects.

The team at UGL designs, constructs, and maintains critical infrastructure across the water and power sectors. This includes wastewater treatment plants, power stations, transmission lines, substations, electrical distribution networks, and water pipelines.

As a Civil Project Engineer, you will oversee on-site civil construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. You will also manage subcontractor performance and resolve site issues as they arise.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing detailed project plans, work schedules, and methodologies for civil works.
  • Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Overseeing on-site civil construction activities and managing subcontractor performance.
  • Promoting and enforcing health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering civil engineering works in infrastructure, utilities, or construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of civil design principles, construction methodologies, and relevant Australian standards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
