The ideal candidate will be an expert in their field, with a PhD in atomic, molecular or quantum physics. They will have experience in laser spectroscopy, laser-cooling and atom interferometry of atomic species, as well as aptitude towards programming and automation. Competence with Python for lab instrumentation, control systems and data analysis is preferred.
Responsibilities- Provide technical guidance and directions to a team of physicists and engineers.
- Designing and prototyping optical, mechanical and electronics subsystems.
- Optimization and ruggedization of atomic sensors for practical applications.
- Atomic sensor integration, optimization and deployment in real-world environments.
- Familiarity with ultra-high vacuum systems.
- Narrow linewidth lasers and frequency stabilization.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
