Physicist for Quantum Sensing Applications

This role requires a highly skilled physicist to drive and manage research and development programs in the field of quantum sensing.

  • Provide technical guidance and direction to a team of physicists and engineers.
  • Design and prototype optical, mechanical, and electronics subsystems.
  • Optimize and ruggedize atomic sensors for practical applications.
  • Integrate, optimize, and deploy atomic sensors in real-world environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laser spectroscopy, laser-cooling, and atom interferometry of atomic species. Expertise with ultra-high vacuum systems and narrow linewidth lasers and frequency stabilization is also required.

We are seeking an expert in their field who can work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with excellent communication skills, are essential for this role.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in atomic, molecular, or quantum physics. Familiarity with laser spectroscopy, laser-cooling, and atom interferometry of atomic species is mandatory. Aptitude towards programming and automation, with competence in Python for lab instrumentation, control systems, and data analysis, is preferred.
