About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in NSW, Australia. As a key member of our Systems Engineering team, you will play a critical role in the development and delivery of our Air Battlespace Management System (ABMS).

The ABMS is a complex system-of-systems that requires the integration of multiple sensor arrays, deployable cabins, and mobile radar. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements management, definition and analysis methods, integration and test, and verification and validation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the CAF14 Change Management process by assessing and monitoring impacts of changes on the system.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain change management processes for the enterprise.
  • Manage the introduction of new scope into the ABME.
  • Support the development, sustainment, and incremental delivery of the ABMS.
  • Support all aspects of the systems engineering and project delivery lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Significant experience across the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements management, definition and analysis methods, integration and test, and verification and validation.
  • Past exposure in the integration, test, and evaluation of combat system products.
  • Significant experience in risk identification and mitigation practices.
  • Superior communication skills, including technical writing, a strong analytical mind, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Significant experience working with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in technical assurance of mission systems.
  • Knowledge in configuration management and baselining of engineering artifacts.
  • Understanding of system safety and its significance in complex systems.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Systems Engineering) from a recognized institution, and/or equivalent relevant experience.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in Agile project delivery.
  • Experience in Defence projects or Australian Defence sector.
  • Experience in systems integration.
  • V&V testing experience.
