As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing control systems for mining projects, from conception to completion.

Working on projects across the Hunter Valley, you will be based in the office and on-site across your 9-day fortnight. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, expanding your skills in OT and cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Conduct on-site commissioning and troubleshooting, resolving complex control system issues.
  • Take ownership of the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop project scope, ensuring clear understanding and expectations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline, or an Electrical Trade background.
  • Extensive experience in control systems engineering within the mining industry, with a strong track record of success.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC, SCADA, and DCS platforms, with a deep understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues.
  • Willingness to travel across the Hunter Valley region as needed for project requirements.
