Role Overview:

As a District Medical Officer in our rural generalist program, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact in Western Australia's Midwest region. This role offers comprehensive medical and community health services to remote communities, providing clinical leadership, supervision, training, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to multidisciplinary teams with Remote Area Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health staff, Aboriginal Health Workers, and Aboriginal Liaison Officers.
  • Collaborate with specialist colleagues via telehealth, and access support from our WACHS Command Centre.
  • Develop and maintain high-level clinical skills through regular patient retrieval and emergency department work on rotating rosters.
