Job Title: Principal Biostatistician

 

  • The incumbent will provide statistical expertise for research projects and other activities of the centre. Elements will include design and conduct of statistical analyses, data management (extraction, cleaning, linkage, standardisation etc) and provision of advice to researchers.
  • The work of the incumbent will impact local health network functions as a health service and on the capacity of the network to be a national and international leader in the use of health service information in healthcare redesign.
  • The incumbent is required to participate in performance management activities for the achievement of goals of the centre.
  • Based at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, the aims of the centre are to provide evidence to improve health service delivery, evidence-based practice and patient outcomes across the network and state. The centre's objectives are to grow research and research translation; support clinical researchers with advice, training and mentorship; and optimise health service delivery through data-driven insights
  • The incumbent must have an appropriate degree in Health Sciences majoring in biostatistics, epidemiology, statistics or other relevant discipline.
