Team Leader Position

About the role:

  • The Team Leader plays an integral part in delivering high-quality care to residents at all times.
  • They support the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse to oversee and coordinate care across the home, ensuring individual needs, wishes, and goals of each resident are met with dignity and respect.

This is an excellent opportunity for career progression. The position is open to Endorsed Enrolled Nurses or Personal Care Workers with relevant qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide social and emotional support to all residents, ensuring holistic and person-centered care.
  • Support the coordination of care needs across the home, including medication management, nutrition, and hydration, pressure care management.
  • Lead/supervise care on the shift within designated wings or areas.
  • Perform medicine-related tasks according to scope of qualification, state or territory legislation, regulation, and Calvary policies.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications: Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (with APRHA Registration to administer medication) or Certificate IV in Ageing Support (including HLTHPS007 Administer & Monitor Medicines).
  • High level of commitment, integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
  • Effective listener with ability to communicate at all levels orally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand and use information technology and programs and to learn new skills as required.
  • Current National police check.
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
  • Demonstrated desire to join a team committed to caring for others in a mission-based organization.
