Job Description

Compassionate care is a vital aspect of our services. As a Residential Care Officer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met with the utmost consideration.

About the Role

You will be working in a dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, medication management and meal preparation
  • Monitoring and documenting residents' health, behaviour and progress, and reporting any concerns to the nursing team
  • Organising and facilitating social, recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance residents' wellbeing
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable living environment for all residents
  • Communicating effectively with residents, their families and the wider care team
What We're Looking For

We are seeking an individual with the following skills and qualifications:

  • A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in disability services
  • Proven experience in a residential care or similar setting, ideally within the disability support industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and empathetic approach
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to multitask effectively
  • A genuine passion for improving the lives of the elderly and disabled, and a commitment to person-centered care
