Child Protection Specialist

This role plays a vital part in safeguarding children and young people from sexual exploitation. The Child Protection Specialist is responsible for providing expert guidance, supporting practitioners, and establishing key partnerships to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Risk Assessment and Analysis: Develops and coaches others in risk assessment and analysis, ensuring effective decision-making and protection strategies.
  • Client-Centred Practice: Leads department positions at meetings, focusing on client safety and prioritizing their needs.
  • Case Planning Review: Directly supports cases with unacceptable risk to the child, collaborating with teams to develop and implement suitable solutions.

Transportation of children is an essential aspect of this role, requiring a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel. Occasional overnight work may be required, necessitating flexibility and adaptability.
