Our team is seeking a highly skilled Carpenter – Fire Door Installer to join our Brisbane Service Department. This permanent full-time position involves installing fire doors and hardware, routine testing, servicing and minor repairs of fire doors, passive fire / smoke doors.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills and be able to plan and organise their work effectively. They must also be able to work autonomously and demonstrate versatility and support within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install Fire and Smoke Doors
  • Maintain Fire and Smoke Doors
  • Inspect, test and carry out repairs of fire doors and passive fire protection systems, on a systematic basis as per service contracts, in accordance with Australian Standards
  • Testing and defect rectification of fire doors
  • Liaise with customers, promoting a professional and friendly environment
  • Ensure compliance to Environmental Health and Safety requirements
Requirements
  • Qualified Carpenter
  • Previous exposure to the fire industry (would be well regarded)
  • Strong focus on quality, customer service and client satisfaction
  • A strong focus on safety
  • Current Driver's Licence (essential)
  • Good personal presentation
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
