Senior Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Mondelēz International. As a key member of our capital projects team, you will be responsible for planning and executing capital projects for our Distribution Center in Truganina.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the site engineering master plans in conjunction with the Site Manager and BD function and operational teams.
- Define and deliver the capital and technical agenda during the development phase of mid to large capital investment projects.
- Plan, design, and execute automation projects from concept through commissioning.
- Develop the capital budget according to the contract and forecast cash flow.
- Implement state-of-the-art processes and equipment strategies to optimize resources, harmonize assets, and rollout best practices.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered in compliance with Mondelēz International (MDLZ) frameworks for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), quality standards, sanitary design, and procurement processes.
- Manage engineering resources, people management, and development needs.
- Select, negotiate with, and manage third-party suppliers and contractors for automation equipment.
- Provide technical leadership in automation and engineering to the onsite team.
- Monitor and optimize contractor performance to maintain high standards of quality and productivity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential risks in automation projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
- Extensive capital engineering project management experience in a large multinational company.
- Fluency with computer applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Auto CAD, project management software, and ERP systems.
- Project Management Certification (ex: PMP, PRINCE2) and Lean Six Sigma certification highly desirable.
- Experience with Automation and Robotics projects or operations.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and lead a high performing team in a complex environment.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
- Senior-level technical expertise across engineering disciplines.
