
Nephrology Nurse Career Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill our Nephrology Nursing position. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of quality improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the design, planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient care within our haemodialysis clinical setting. You will protect the rights of patients by adhering to Privacy Principles and upholding the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing, planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care within the haemodialysis clinical setting
- Protecting patient rights by adhering to Privacy Principles and providing excellent care
- Supporting the ongoing professional development of colleagues and participating in education programs for patients and visitors
- Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for staff and ensuring a comfortable and safe space for visitors and patients
- Actively engaging in quality improvement processes by reporting incidents, hazards, and opportunities for improvement
- Completing regular clinical and mandatory competencies
- Maintaining accurate patient information in medical records, including Therapy Data Management System (TDMS)
Requirements include:
- Registration as a general nurse with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
- A current practising certificate
- An understanding of Quality Improvement Process and Risk Management Obligations
- Demonstrated clinical competence and expertise in nephrology nursing or working towards it
- The ability to reflect on nursing practice and apply learning appropriately
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated organisational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, combined with self-direction
- Able to deliver effective staff and patient education
