Support Young People’s Mental Health

We are seeking passionate and dedicated professionals to join our Student Wellbeing Workforce. As a specialist member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will offer therapeutic and case management support to students with mild-to-moderate mental health concerns.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the mental health needs of students to inform appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Deliver individual and group interventions to students which address mental health concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with schools' leadership and student support teams to inform student support planning, and provide advice to teachers supporting students' mental health in the classroom.
  • Develop referral and case management processes to support delivery of the service.
  • Coordinate referrals to external agencies, and work collaboratively with external networks and stakeholders to ensure access to appropriate supports for students.
  • Provide advice and assistance to families to support the mental health of students.
  • Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies as part of the school response team.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the relevant association.
  • Relevant experience in clinical/mental health/counselling work and/or work with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently manage a clinical caseload with minimal direction.
