Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Range Operator to join our operations team in Townsville. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our range facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend daily briefings and participate in pre-shift checks to ensure readiness for the day's activities
  • Use Defence Computer or Paper Based System to read and advise on customer booking enquiries
  • Facilitate movement onto and off the range area, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks as allocated by management
  • Participate in fire response teams and hold relevant qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be an Australian Citizen with a current MR (or higher) license
  • Defence background in Training Area and Range operations is desirable but not essential
  • Experience with operating radios is highly regarded
  • Must have or be capable of attaining a workplace First Aid qualification to National Certificate Level 2 standard
  • Must have or be capable of attaining current operator licenses for all range vehicles and equipment
  • Must have or be capable of attaining Fire Qualifications in Wildfire Response and Suppression
