Job Title: Assistant Educational Leader

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Educational Leader.

  • This is a permanent opportunity working with school-aged children in Before and After School Care, as well as Vacation Care, Monday to Friday (30 hours per week).
About the Role:

The role of Assistant Educational Leader involves providing quality care and education to school-aged children, while also incorporating your ideas and expertise to create a fun-filled environment. You will work closely with other educators to ensure the service complies with all relevant policies and procedures.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of school-aged children
  • Incorporating your ideas and expertise to create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Developing respectful relationships with parents, carers, and fellow educators
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Diploma of Children's Services or related qualification (desired)
  • Experience working with school-aged children, either in a support worker, SLSO, OOSH Educator/2IC, or similar capacity
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with families and the community
  • Demonstrated commitment to work health and safety practices
