The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care in the Emergency Department, handling a variety of urgent and critical cases.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care: Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in the Emergency Department, utilizing your expertise and knowledge to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Utilize electronic medical records: Accurately document patient information and manage medical records using ieMR or similar electronic medical record systems.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team: Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and streamlined operations.
- Perform assessments and administer treatments: Conduct thorough assessments, administer treatments, and manage patient care in high-pressure situations.
- Develop and maintain strong communication skills: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clear understanding and optimal patient outcomes.
- Minimum 3 years of experience: In an Emergency Department setting, with a strong background in critical care and patient assessment.
- Proficient in electronic medical records: ieMR or similar electronic medical record systems.
- Certifications and training: ALS, BLS, Resuscitation, and Triage certificates, as well as Emergency Triage Education Kit (ETEK) and Infection Control training.
- AHPRA Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- National Police Check: A valid National Police Check.
- Australian Immunisation History: Up-to-date Australian Immunisation History.
- Travel and accommodation: Provided for contracts, subject to terms and conditions.
