The Mackay Base Hospital Emergency Department is a level 4 clinical service capability, with both adult and paediatric clients presenting for care and treatment. This ED includes the following: 2 Resuscitation/Trauma bays, 3 High Dependency (HDU) bays, 12 acute bed spaces, 5 paediatric bays, 12 fast track, 16 short stay beds, 2 Mental Health and 1 isolation HDU bay, and sees on average over 150 patients per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Current AHPRA registration
- ALS certification
- BLS
- Theatre Nursing Experience: Experience in Operating Theatres is often required, including experience in scrubbing, circulating, anesthetics, and recovery (PACU)
