About the Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Domestic Services Assistant to join our team at VMCH. As a key member of our residential services team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe living environment for our residents. Your duties will include cleaning residents' rooms, communal areas, and administrative spaces, as well as ensuring the safe storage and disposal of cleaning materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out domestic tasks to maintain hygiene standards in a home-like environment
  • Clean residents' rooms, including ensuites, furniture, and equipment
  • Ensure common living areas, hallways, and other areas of the facility are maintained in a clean and tidy condition
  • Report stock shortages, breakages, and other issues to the Residential Services Manager

Requirements
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
  • Well-developed prioritization and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work as part of a team
