About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Domestic Services Assistant to join our team at St. Bernadette's Aged Care in Sunshine. As a key member of our close-knit team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out domestic tasks to maintain hygiene standards in a home-like environment
  • Clean residents' rooms, including ensuites, furniture, and equipment, as well as communal and administrative areas
  • Ensure common living areas, hallways, and other areas of the facility are maintained in a clean and tidy condition
  • Replenish cleaning liquids and materials while observing safety procedures
  • Report stock shortages, breakages, and other issues to the Residential Services Manager

Requirements

  • Interpersonal skills, including effective communication and compassion
  • Patience, common sense, and an understanding of client service
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work without supervision
  • Well-developed prioritization and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate with discretion and maintain confidentiality
