Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Librarian at IIQAF. As a key member of our library staff, you will play a vital role in providing access to information and resources to our patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collection Development and Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive cataloging system to ensure efficient access to library materials, and organize and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials.
  • Research Support: Assist patrons in locating information and resources, providing reference and research assistance, and collaborate with teaching staff to support curriculum needs and integrate library resources into classroom instruction.
  • Program Development and Delivery: Plan and conduct library programs and events to engage the community and promote literacy, and provide assistance with technology resources, including computer and internet access, printing, and digital media.
  • Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with community members and organizations to promote the library's services and resources.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on emerging trends in library sciences and technological advancements to enhance library services.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience working in a library or similar environment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of library cataloging systems and classification standards, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of library patrons.
