Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Library Information Specialist to join our team at IIQAF. As a key member of our library staff, you will play a vital role in providing access to information and resources to our patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collection Management: Organize and maintain our library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials to ensure efficient access for patrons.
  • Research Support: Assist patrons in locating information and resources, providing reference and research assistance to support their academic and professional goals.
  • Cataloging and Classification: Develop and maintain a comprehensive cataloging system to ensure accurate and efficient access to library materials.
  • Program Development: Plan and conduct library programs and events to engage the community and promote literacy and lifelong learning.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teaching staff to support curriculum needs and integrate library resources into classroom instruction, and provide excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with a diverse range of library patrons.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience working in a library or similar environment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of library cataloging systems and classification standards, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of library patrons.
