Boom Pump Operator Job Summary

The Boom Pump Operator is responsible for setting up and positioning the boom pump truck safely and accurately at construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the boom pump to place concrete in line with site plans and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with site crew and supervisors to understand specific placement needs and resolve any challenges during operation.

Safety Protocols and Compliance:

  • Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, crew members, and the general public.
  • Conduct pre- and post-operation safety checks on the boom pump equipment.

Maintenance and Equipment Care:

  • Perform daily maintenance checks on the boom pump, hoses, pipes, and other components.
  • Keep equipment in clean, optimal working condition by performing routine cleaning and minor repairs as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Complete daily logs of pump usage, maintenance checks, and any issues encountered on site.
  • Document concrete volumes and time records.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a boom pump operator or in a related heavy equipment role in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of concrete boom pump operations, equipment setup, and safe handling techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in heavy equipment operation, OSHA safety training, or relevant industry certifications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced construction environment.
