Laurel House seeks an experienced leader to join its board of directors. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, oversight, and guidance to the organisation.
About the Role:
- Provide overall governance, management, and strategic direction for Laurel House.
- Participate in subcommittees focusing on clinical governance, finance, audit, risk management, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish strategies to guide and monitor Laurel House's activities.
- Making resources available to achieve the strategy and overseeing their use.
- Monitor the organisation's performance.
- Oversee processes to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee a risk management framework that supports informed decision-making by Laurel House.
- Report progress and align collective interests.
Selection Criteria:
- Possess strategic thinking skills and ability to identify key risks and opportunities.
- Possess knowledge in best practice corporate and clinical governance structures, policies, and processes.
- Passion for Laurel House's work and commitment to support victim-survivors of sexual assault.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and character necessary for collaboration with other board members.
