Airport Operations Officer

Job Description:

As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation, security, and safety of our airport facilities. This includes airfield, terminal, car parks, and forecourt.

The role involves performing daily Airfield Reporting Officer (ARO) requirements and Works Safety Officer (WSO) duties, including scheduled inspections of the aerodrome, monitoring security, enforcing airport policies and procedures, managing terminal and passenger flows, and performing Chief Fire Warden duties.

Key responsibilities include completing daily ARO tasks, performing scheduled inspections, monitoring security, enforcing policies and procedures, managing passenger flows, and performing Chief Fire Warden duties.

Additionally, you will be responsible for carrying out Wildlife Management Plan activities, including wildlife observation counts, harassment, and deterrent activities.

  • Complete daily ARO tasks during shift and perform WSO duties as required.
  • Perform scheduled inspections of the aerodrome to assess and report on serviceability.
  • Monitor security across the airport complex and facilities.
  • Enforce and report on airport policies and procedures.
  • Manage terminal, apron, and passenger flows.
  • Manage daily airport car park operations.
  • Perform Chief Fire Warden duties for the airport when on shift.
  • Initial enactment of the Airport Emergency Plan.
  • Carry out Wildlife Management Plan activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work individually and as part of a team. Good time management skills and computer literacy are also essential.
