As an African Community Liaison Officer, you will play a vital role in enhancing engagement and educational outcomes for students from African backgrounds who are facing challenges. Your contributions will help foster effective working relationships within your designated community, collaborating with different African communities to achieve successful outcomes collectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the inclusion and engagement of African students in mainstream schools through targeted initiatives and outreach programs.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with local African communities to promote mutual understanding and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student transition and career pathways.

**Essential Requirements:**

- A proven track record of working effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from varying cultural backgrounds.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges.

**Desirable Qualifications:**

- Proficiency in languages spoken by the African community (Dinka, Nuer, or Arabic).

- Experience in public speaking or presenting to large groups.

- In-depth knowledge of South Australian school administration processes and practices.
