Cardiothoracic Surgical Specialist

Ramsay Health Care offers an exceptional opportunity for professional growth and development as a Cardiothoracic Surgical Specialist.

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and examinations of cardiothoracic conditions.
  • Participate in the formulation and implementation of individual patient management plans, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Assist in and perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures under the supervision of consultant surgeons.
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in the cardiothoracic surgical unit, monitoring recovery and managing complications with appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide effective patient care, communicating with patients and their families regarding treatment options, risks, and post-operative care.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives, overseeing database management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in compliance with hospital policies.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner.
  • Minimum of 4 years postgraduate clinical experience.
  • Previous experience in cardiothoracic surgery or related specialties is desirable.
  • Clinical expertise in managing complex cardiovascular diseases.
