Full-Time Kitchen Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced kitchen professional to lead our culinary team at The Grand Hotel in Frankston.

Job Description:

  • Manage and train a diverse kitchen team, supporting the Head Chef in achieving high-quality results.
  • Implement and manage food safety plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Cook menu items according to established guidelines and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus that showcase our hotel's culinary excellence.
  • Work efficiently under pressure, meeting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Verify that all food safety procedures are being followed at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Possess a Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Have experience working in a fast-paced pub/bistro environment.
  • Be well-versed in all kitchen areas, with hands-on experience.
  • Be able to follow and give directions when required.
  • Be willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Hold full working rights in Australia.
