Job Title: Procurement Specialist Compliance Officer
About the Role: This is a part-time 3 days a week role for 6 months and is based in North Sydney, with a hybrid work from home set-up after first month/training. The rate per hour is equivalent to ACU HEW 5.1.
Key Responsibilities: The key focus of this role is to assist Procurement to assess suppliers for modern slavery risk in their business operations and supply chains. This will involve communication with suppliers and internal staff timely and efficiently. The role may also develop supplier-related Environmental/Social/Governance activities.
Skills and Qualifications: We are seeking an individual with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. They should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid computer skills including Microsoft Office suite of products. Additionally, they should have strong numeracy and excel skills with the ability to create clear reports and do basic analysis of information.
What You Will Do: You will work initially with the Procurement team in supporting and assisting ACU to fulfill its reporting requirements for, and progress related compliance initiatives around, the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), as is reported in ACU's annual Modern Slavery Statement. Extensive liaison with internal Procurement and Finance staff and other ACU business units, and representatives of other organisations such as Australian Catholic Anti-Slavery Network (ACAN), Australasian Universities Procurement Network (AUPN) will be required.
