Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Part-time Counsellor to join our team at Tradewind Australia. As a Counsellor, you will work with individuals, couples, and children affected by family relationship issues, providing one-to-one counselling and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client assessments and set therapeutic goals in collaboration with team members.
- Manage client loads per service agreements and maintain professional client records and confidentiality.
- Prepare reports and participate in meetings, program planning, and policy development.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation and be proficient in computer use for videoconferencing.
Requirements:
- Hold a relevant tertiary degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Behavioural Sciences (with eligibility for professional association membership).
- Strong written and oral communication skills for case planning and advocacy.
- Experience in delivering evidence-based therapeutic counselling, setting goals, and facilitating positive outcomes.
- Understanding of relevant legislation, service delivery models, and best practices.
- A current open driver's licence.
- Current Working with Children Blue Card and Disability Worker Screening/Clearance.
- Ability to work sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and CALD families.
