Associate Environment and Planning Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our national Environment & Planning team as a skilled lawyer. You will work closely with experienced partners in a rapidly growing practice, advising on high-profile projects and transactions that shape markets across the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimise approval pathways for new projects;
  • Conduct environmental assessments;
  • Represent clients in planning appeals and planning panel hearings;
  • Develop biodiversity offsets;
  • Licence environmental activities;
  • Secure secondary approvals;
  • Negotiate neighbour agreements; and
  • Respond to environmental incidents.

Requirements:

  • A qualified lawyer with 3-6 years' post-qualification experience in environment & planning law;
  • Strong interest in the energy and infrastructure sectors;
  • Commercial awareness;
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing team.
