Work Health and Safety Professional

The role of a Work Health and Safety (WHS) professional is to contribute to creating a positive safety culture within an organization. This involves ensuring compliance with relevant WHS legislation, regulations, and industry standards.

Reporting to the Manager of Work Health and Safety, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective WHS systems and processes. Your duties may include:

  • Developing and implementing WHS policies and procedures;
  • Conducting risk assessments and identifying areas for improvement;
  • Providing training and education on WHS matters to employees and management;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports related to WHS performance.

You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including employees, management, and external agencies, to promote a safe and healthy work environment. You will also be involved in incident investigation and management, and provide support and guidance to employees on WHS-related issues.
