Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly capable Permit to Work Supervisor leader to spearhead the development, implementation, and upkeep of processing plant isolation and tagging systems.

The PTW Leader will be responsible for providing timely responses to breakdown tasks assigned by the Production Manager to ensure equipment is back online.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a strong background in process operations and a previous leadership position in the industry.

This is a full-time position with an 8 days on, 6 days off roster. The successful candidate will work from Perth or Geraldton.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensuring adherence to the Isolation and Tagging Procedure by all personnel.
  2. Conducting training of other personnel in the Isolation and Tagging Process.
  3. Regularly auditing systems and processes.
  4. Recording permit times to ensure accuracy and adherence to plans and schedules.
  5. Responsible for documentation and library control to meet statutory requirements.
  6. Escalating production-related issues as required to the Production Manager, Coordinator, or Superintendent.
  7. Leading a team of Isolation Officers, including delegating tasks and responsibilities.
  8. Maintaining the Isolation and Tagging systems and procedures.
  9. Maintaining all isolation hardware and consumables.
  10. Managing isolation requirements associated with planned preventative maintenance schedules, modular shutdowns, crusher shutdowns, major plant outage isolation planning, and assisting operations and maintenance as required.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience within the mining industry (Supervisory/Team Lead roles).
  • Extensive experience with permit systems.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of hazards working in a processing operation environment.
  • Strong understanding of mineral processing.
  • WA 'C' Class Drivers Licence.
  • Schedule 26 Appointed Persons.
  • Experience using all programs within the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • National Police clearance.
  • SCADA Software (Control Room System) experience is highly regarded.
