Leadership Role for Operational Excellence: Our organization is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to drive growth and operational efficiency across regions. This strategic leadership position involves directing regional operational activities, promoting a culture of safety, and fostering continuous improvement.

About the Position: The Regional Operations Manager will collaborate with the National Operations Manager to develop the business foundation by providing direction and leadership. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with safety protocols
  • Creating a culture of continuous improvement across regions through leadership, focusing on people development, role clarity, adherence to processes and procedures, and modelling good behavior
  • Directing and monitoring operational aspects of supply chain management, budget planning, and capital expenditures
  • Leading and coordinating Farm, Packhouse, and Engineering pre-season, in-season, and post-season processes
  • Collaborating with QA, Engineering, and Supply Chain functions to provide input to overall divisional business and operational strategies
  • Implementing innovative processes to reduce costs, improve productivity, and enhance quality

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum ten (10) years' experience in a food production, manufacturing environment/FMCG
  • Minimum five (5) years' operational management experience
  • Operations experience in a farming environment desirable
  • Strong business acumen with a strategic understanding of business drivers, market knowledge, and contemporary operational risk issues
  • Strong leadership and engagement skills to motivate staff to deliver operational excellence
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships based on respect and trust across all levels of the organization
