Job Title: Experienced Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking an experienced mental health nurse to join our team of clinical nurse consultants working within the emergency department and psychiatric emergency care centre at Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick.

About the Role

This role requires clinical expertise in assessing and managing individuals presenting to the emergency department with acute mental health symptoms, co-morbid physical and mental health difficulties, and those in crisis situations requiring a mental health assessment.

  • Assessing and managing individuals with acute mental health symptoms
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  • A minimum of 5 years post-registration experience in a mental health specialty
  • Sound knowledge and experience of assessing individuals within an acute environment
