Emergency Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced mental health environment.

About the Role:

  • Provide patient-centered care and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver consumer-focused care
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with consumers, families, and carers
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  2. Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others
  3. Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations
  4. Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
  5. Understanding of recovery principles and commitment to the philosophy and practice of consumer, family, and carer participation and consumer-focused care
  6. Experience and ability to deliver high-quality patient care in Mental Health at a postgraduate level
