Job Title

The role of an HR Partner is vital in supporting parishes across the Diocese in creating effective workplaces.

About the Role

This position was established to provide strategic and operational HR support to parish leadership teams, enabling them to develop healthy, effective, and Christ-centred workplaces.

  • Collaborate with regional bishops to ensure sound workplace practices are understood and followed in our parishes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of ordained and lay workers in the Sydney Anglican parish context.
  • Provide HR expertise to drive strategic initiatives that foster strong workplace relationships in parishes.
  • Proactively address systemic issues impacting the functioning of parishes.

We seek someone with extensive Human Resources experience who can deliver high-quality HR support and develop a deep understanding of ordained and lay ministry in the Sydney Anglican parish context.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Proven HR generalist experience in a not-for-profit or faith-based context.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
