Mechanical Equipment Specialist for Infrastructure Projects

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our Bidding Team in Sydney. In this role, you will provide technical support and engineering expertise for mechanical equipment procurement and project start-up activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support bidding and project initiation by conducting engineering feasibility studies and developing procurement strategies.
  • Prepare tender returnable schedules and associated technical documentation.
  • Drive procurement initiatives for critical plant and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and construction teams to optimize plant and equipment investment strategies.
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • E nsure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in tender specifications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of plant and equipment used in the industry and their applications.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations related to plant and equipment procurement and operation.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in bidding, estimating, or project management in major infrastructure and energy sectors.
  • Experience in preparing technical specifications and scope of work for plant and equipment procurement.
  • Proven budget management and procurement process skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms and conditions.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
