As a Logistics Operations Manager at Amentum, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the logistics support within our Tech Supply Warehouse. This involves managing and optimizing warehouse operations, distribution, and inventory control to ensure exceptional customer-focused service and adherence to safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate logistics tasks, including warehousing, distribution, receiving, and disposal of goods.
  • Foster effective communication between logistics personnel and management for timely updates and issue resolution.
  • Promote high-quality, customer-centric logistics services and advice aligned with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and manage inventory control procedures within the warehouse, collaborating with the Logistics Team Leader on projects to optimize stock levels.
  • Lead stocktaking activities, ensuring accurate inventory records and efficient material handling.
  • Oversee the goods receipt process, resolving discrepancies promptly and coordinating with procurement personnel as necessary.
  • Educate and enforce health and safety practices at the site and within the workplace.
  • Assume additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of Year 12 or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in logistics or warehousing.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • A valid driver's license.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Forklift license.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • CPR Certification.
  • White Card.

Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in logistics or warehousing.
  • Ability to manage inventory control and coordinate stocktaking activities.
  • Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) and warehouse operations.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • The ability to lift items up to 10kg independently.
  • Frequent requirements to walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Occasional requirement to stand.

We offer an estimated annual salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 based on location and experience.
