Remote Forest Conservation Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to environmental conservation while immersing yourself in a remote forest setting.
About the LocationThe project is located in the cloud-forest of Tutamoe Peak in Northland, New Zealand.
Together with locals and volunteers, we work towards protecting this lush forest and restoring it to its natural splendor.
- Learn about New Zealand's unique native flora and fauna and the challenges of their protection.
- Gain hands-on experience in conservation and monitoring techniques.
- Participate in daily maintenance tasks and activities, including cutting and marking tracks, installing bait stations, and entering data.
- Balance work and leisure time, with opportunities for self-discovery and exploration of the surrounding area.
The sanctuary is built on sustainable principles and is totally off-grid, making it an ideal place to learn about living sustainably.
Key Tasks- Conservation and monitoring of native species, including kiwi, kokako, and rodents.
- Restoration of protected natural ecosystems, including planting native trees and creating access trails.
- Participation in daily maintenance tasks, such as chopping wood and landscaping.
