About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Auxiliary Firefighter. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency incidents and provide fire and rescue services to the community.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach activities.
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular training and drills to ensure safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
  • Maintain attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and hygiene of station facilities.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities.
  • Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration.
Requirements
  • Eligible to apply for, or hold a current Blue Card.
  • Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies.
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of the auxiliary fire station.
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status.
  • Manual C Class driver's licence.
