Job Title: Financial Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven financial professional to deliver high-quality general accounting services within our Corporate Accounting team.


You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial and management account reports and perform financial accounting services including journal processing, month-end general ledger close, balance sheet reconciliations, management reporting, and tax support as required.

Key tasks include investigating and resolving issues, implementing processes and internal accounting controls to prevent reoccurrence, assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts, BAS, tax, and FBT, and providing insight through analysis to assist leadership teams in decision-making.

This role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting with 3-5 years post-qualification experience in a similar financial accounting role. A working understanding of SOx obligations is advantageous but not essential.

High-level numeracy and reconciliation skills are essential along with attention to detail and accuracy. You must also possess exceptional Excel skills and be a current user of an ERP system with experience in SAP or JD Edwards being particularly valued.

A proactive approach and ability to meet tight end-of-month deadlines for key deliverables is crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to provide advice to various managers and stakeholders.

This role is based at our South Geelong office and requires full-time on-site attendance. Experience preparing statutory accounts, budgeting, and forecasting, and BAS/FBT returns is highly advantageous.
