Electrical Systems Specialist

This position is responsible for delivering engineering and application services for any upgrade or maintenance activities related to customer electrical systems. The purpose of the role is to ensure that the services provided are relevant, fit for purpose, compliant with regulations, and meet customer needs.

The role will provide electrical engineering design and technical support for a team of engineers. It will assist in ensuring the efficient use of resources and provide valuable information and support when requested during quoting or tendering on upcoming opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver engineering and application services for electrical system upgrades and maintenance.
  2. Ensure services are relevant, fit for purpose, and compliant with regulations.
  3. Provide electrical engineering design and technical support to the team.
  4. Assist in ensuring the efficient use of resources.
  5. Provide valuable information and support during quoting and tendering processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  2. High level proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel).
  3. Ability to review and update electrical schematic and wiring diagrams.
  4. Technical skills associated with testing and maintenance of HV electrical systems.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, holds safety as a core value.
  6. Demonstrated experience in resolving problems, including fault finding.
  7. Ability to multi-task in stressful situations.
  8. Engineering expertise in High Voltage electrical system diagnosis and design.
  9. Knowledge of Power Transformers up to 330kV.
  10. Competent in SKM Powertools for Windows Software.
