Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Services Vice President to join our team at 1588 State Street Services Australia Pty Limited. As a key member of our Global Delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and execution of Tax, Regulatory, and Financial Reporting deliverables across the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and review monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate production of deliverables for each client relationship.
  • Answer and handle complex issues and queries, both internal and external, and escalate as needed.
  • Identify risk issues, breaches, and act in accordance with the 'risk' escalation chain and operating procedures.
  • Act as an escalation point and oversee the effective coordination of activities with other departments.
  • Document processes and procedures, and coach the team on best practices.
  • Evaluate staffing needs and ensure all personnel are appropriately selected, trained, and given timely and complete performance evaluation feedback.
  • Remain informed of regulatory changes and new industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as CA/CPA/CFA.
  • At least 8+ years of experience in an accounting or financial services environment, specifically in Australia tax, statutory reporting, or financial reporting for managed investment and superannuation funds.
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience is required.
  • Good leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills, with a proven track record of efficiency creation, staff development, and people management skills.
  • Good understanding of managed investment funds and superannuation funds.
  • Familiar with financial services and investment products.
  • Detailed-oriented individual capable of performing in a high-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and possess strong problem-solving and resolution skills.
  • Good knowledge of internal systems, MS Office (Excel, Word).
