Job DescriptionWe're seeking an experienced Senior Backend Software Architect who has a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the development of our selection systems and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and maintenance of our backend infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, maintainable code in modern programming languages like Go, Scala, and TypeScript.
- Leading the implementation of cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Maintaining expertise in cloud platforms, system architecture design, API contract design, space/time complexity, and distributed and scalable systems.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate technical designs, present ideas clearly, and manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Providing guidance and support to team members on complex technical problems and ensuring they have the autonomy to solve issues efficiently.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a backend engineering role designing, building, and operating modern distributed systems using modern programming languages like C#, Golang, Java, or Scala.
- Extensive experience working with cloud-based applications, containerization, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- System architecture design experience and understanding; space/time complexity, API contract design.
- Good understanding of distributed and scalable systems - you can design, build, and maintain complex systems with a desire to work on deep and interesting technical problems.
- The ability to work in fast-paced teams and communicate effectively through chat, docs, video calls, and other collaborative online tools.
