As a volunteer emergency service provider, we're seeking dedicated individuals to support our team in responding to fires and other emergencies across Queensland.

Role Overview

This role involves working closely with other volunteer groups to provide emergency response services to the community. You'll be expected to attend incident and emergency calls, participate in regular drills and training sessions, and contribute to ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to fire and emergency incidents as a member of a team, operating specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through contributions to community education activities and promoting the organisation's mission.
  • Maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses provided by the QFES to ensure safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
  • Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities and ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities.
  • Participate in incident reporting and general station administration as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable)
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire station
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Manual C Class driver's licence
