As a valued member of our team, the role of Clinic Nurse RN is to deliver high-quality frontline nursing care as per our service model.

The Clinic Nurse will provide education and support to clients with regards to their health and wellbeing, promoting opportunities for improved health outcomes.

This includes effective triage, prevention, education, support and recalls. The Clinic Nurse will also contribute to our comprehensive health support services to clients with the aim to achieve improved health outcomes for all individuals.

Duties include:

  1. Providing quality nursing practice within an Aboriginal primary healthcare framework by assisting the medical/primary healthcare team and effectively coordinating own and team's workload to achieve results.
  2. Understanding of the principles of primary healthcare and the ability to work with a wide variety of professionals and the public.
  3. Effective communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal to ensure quality medical documentation.
  4. Vaccine and cold chain officer & infection prevention and control coordinator.
  5. Demonstrated clinic experience and the ability to implement and support a comprehensive model of chronic disease care with a view to achieve better outcomes for clients.
  6. Competence in the use of clinical software systems and other technology, the internet and desktop applications e.g. outlook, spreadsheets and telehealth software.
  7. Operate within clinical policy and procedures at all times.
  8. Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.
