Role Summary:

This is an opportunity for a Senior Protection Design Specialist with expertise in High Voltage Systems – Protection, Controls and SCADA (up to 500kV) to establish and grow the team in Australia.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of secondary system designers and support multi-disciplinary design and project management teams.
  • Develop full scope of secondary design for new and brown field sites.
  • Maintain client relationships to support project delivery and engage as a subject matter specialist.
  • Closely collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project goals and develop project schedules.
  • Participate actively in design reviews, risk assessments and quality control processes to ensure design excellence.
Desired Skills And Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in the design of HV and EHV substation installations and preferably additionally for BESS, Solar/wind, with an expertise in secondary systems design, including Protection, Control, SCADA and auxiliary supplies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills with the ability to develop and lead design teams and develop strong client relationships.
  • Experience working in digital engineering environments and delivering to local technical standards and guidelines.
  • Commercially-minded, able to understand the business needs of both the organisation and its clients.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical / Power Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
